Mrs. Ebanks graduated from UC Santa Cruz with a degree in Health Sciences and quickly pursued a post-baccalaureate program in counseling in preparation for medical school. Later, she would obtain an MBA from HULT International Business School. She eventually decided to forgo medicine in favor of more immediate, hands-on experience.

Mrs. Ebanks then spent the next several years working at various Planned Parenthood-affiliated clinics before founding City Embrace Resource Center in 2012. Mrs. Ebanks founded City Embrace to help fill the persistent void that exists in mental healthcare for survivors of abuse around the world.

She currently serves on the Ending Human Trafficking committee of the San Francisco Rotary Club and as a General Advisor to FinAbility, a non-profit created to make financial resources accessible to domestic abuse survivors.

International development professional experienced in providing design, strategy, and implementation of sustainability and social investment initiatives in frontier and emerging markets. Manage and execute projects for sustainability leaders and socioeconomic teams at multinational companies, trade associations and government agencies seeking to advance their local industry, supplier base, or impact in the communities where they operate. Experienced in connecting the dots across teams from the business development stage to inception and evaluation to deliver impact.

With a diverse background in economic growth, my subject matter areas include social investment/CSR, supply chain localization, small and medium enterprises, sustainability, women's empowerment and entrepreneurship.

I have on-the-ground experience and have managed remote projects and teams across Southeast Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean, North America, Europe, East and West Africa.

Marco is a graduate of Management from Bocconi University in Milan, Italy and an MBA from London Business School. He has worked for the Boston Consulting Group before joining the executive team at the largest retail pharmaceutical chain in Central America.

He comes to City Embrace with a passion for providing affordable health care and education to the underserved population of Central America. His strong strategic background, and knowledge of Central American culture and mental health challenges, gives him a unique and well rounded perspective on the mental health care, and education needs in developing countries where City Embrace has presence.

Kayla Jones is a healthcare leader, social worker, and community advocate committed to advancing equitable, accessible, and person-centered systems of care. She currently serves as Director of Health and Enhanced Care at a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Marin County, where she provides strategic leadership across programs designed to improve health outcomes and strengthen care for individuals and families with complex needs.

With nearly a decade of experience spanning healthcare leadership, behavioral health, hospital social work, community health, and care management, Kayla has dedicated her career to serving communities impacted by health disparities, trauma, mental health challenges, housing instability, and barriers to care. Throughout her work, she has remained grounded in the belief that effective systems must not only meet people's needs, but also honor their dignity, strengths, culture, and lived experiences.

Kayla earned her Master of Social Welfare from the University of California, Berkeley, with a concentration in Community Mental Health. Throughout her career, she has led multidisciplinary teams, developed and implemented community-based health initiatives, strengthened systems of care, and cultivated partnerships across healthcare, behavioral health, and community organizations.

As Board Secretary, Kayla brings a unique combination of strategic leadership, clinical expertise, and community-centered advocacy to CECRC. She is passionate about strengthening organizational governance, advancing sustainable community impact, and helping create systems in which individuals and families have meaningful access to the resources, opportunities, and support they need to thrive.
